 Product Description

A woman’s Kaftan shown above is a cotton cloak, with full sleeves, reaching to the ankles and worn with a sash. Caftans are sometimes also called as Kaftans.
Gujarati Kaftans are often embroidered on the front and on the sleeves. Gujaratis also love to make it in multi color, through applique work or patchwork of different color fabrics. The colors prefered in India are in shades of marron, green and blue.

Women wear it as evening gown dress. It is also prefered maternity dress as well as plus size dress.

Sometimes these caftans are also refered to as robe or tunic.

 Our Customers' Views

 • "I received my Kaftans approximately 4 hours ago. I absolutely love the way they look and feel. I have gone to the closet and viewed them well over 16 times. They are absolutely stunning! Thanks so much for such beautiful merchandise! You will certainly have my business in the near future. :~) A VERY PLEASED! ."
• “These caftans are absolutely beautiful, reasonably priced, and very comfortable”
• “I have bought 6 of these kaftans. They are all beautiful and extremely comfortable. They can be worn casually, around the house, or for going out in the evening. I really love them.”
• “Excellent seller. Product just as described”
• “Quality made gown. Order arrived very fast.”
• “I received my order on Friday, 18 June. The kaftans are lovely; just a bit long in sleeves and length. My fault as I should have mentioned my height in special instructions. How should I wash the garments? Or should they be dry cleaned? And thank you for the gift of tigers-eye earrings!"
• “Recently, I ordered three caftans from your company. I was searching for something beautiful to wear to my daughter's wedding in August, as well as looking for an additional six or seven lightweight dresses for the summer"

Indian Clothes as defined in Wikipedia

Sari
A sari / saree is the traditional female garment in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. A sari is a very long strip of unstitched cloth, ranging from four to nine metres in length, which can be draped in various styles. The most common style is for the sari to be wrapped around the waist, with one end then draped over the shoulder baring the midriff. The sari is usually worn over a petticoat (pavada/pavadai in the south, and shaya in eastern India), with a blouse known as a choli or ravika forming the upper garment. The choli has short sleeves and a low neck and is usually cropped, and as such is particularly well-suited for wear in the sultry South Asian summers. Cholis may be "backless" or of a halter neck style. These are usually more dressy with a lot of embellishments such as mirrors or embroidery and may be worn on special occasions. Women in the armed forces, when wearing a sari uniform, don a half-sleeve shirt tucked in at the waist.

Lehenga, choli, and odhani
The women of Rajasthan and Gujarat often wear colorful swirling skirts called lehenga, paired with a short bodice called a choli. If they must cover their heads, they do so with bright veils called odhani.

Tribal styles
Tribal styles vary greatly, but usually correspond with the same styles as salwaar kameez, choli, and other Indian dress.
